Second Annual Harmony & Hope

Sunday, May 7, 2017 First Church, Roxbury, MA

Riverview Chamber Players and the

New England Gospel Ensemble combined forces

for this healing concert which was designed

to help ease the pain in our hearts,

to remember the love of those who have been killed,

and to give hope for a future without violence.

Harmony & Hope Tree Ceremony to remember and honor loved ones who were killed.

"It was a moving, heartfelt and healing event today. I found myself fluctuating between the deep feelings of loss and sadness and then bearing witness to heroic examples of resilience and growth from those most impacted by violence.... it was a true gift to all of us who had the privilege to be there."

"It was an important community event that was received with appreciation by people on all levels and the acknowledgment of the tragedies were received by those who had lived through the unthinkable circumstances, bystanders and those of us who were learning new unimaginable happenings.

The singers reached into our hearts and gathered us in expressing such depth of feeling, your fabulous quartet wrung us out and brought us to ecstasy. The appreciation of the singers and the musicians for each other added greatly to us the viewers and the feeling of support and connections were amazing. I have never experienced such highs and lows in a performance because  it was all so genuine. You could tell people left feeling uplifted and hopeful."
