America, The Beautiful: Take A Book; Leave A Book Take A Gun; Leave A Gun

I am particularly interested in the intersection between visual art and music. So I'm thrilled to announce that Allen Spivack (AKA "The Other Man of Steel") is back for the Second Annual Harmony & Hope concert to display his new sculpture entitled, America, The Beautiful: Take A Book; Leave A Book Take AGun; Leave A Gun.

His sculpture, Sandy Hook 2012 was on display at the first Harmony & Hope concert, May 2016.

Here is an excerpt from Allen's statement about America, The Beautiful: Take A Book; Leave A Book Take A Gun; Leave A Gun.

"...And we are a country awash in guns. Despite the unbelievable and unbearable level of gun violence, family violence, and an unrelenting number of mass shootings in the United States, nothing seems to change. Some states have made an effort to restrict the purchase of some of the most lethal weapons. Nevertheless, we are a country awash in military-style rifles and high-powered handguns that continue to rein terror on all of us. America The Beautiful expresses my fears, frustrations and anxieties about where this magnificent country of ours is headed."
